I did not think this was gruesome enough to warrant an adult rating. If I'm wrong, please just let me know and I'll change it.

This is one of those pieces that comes to you almost instantly and you know it's going to turn out well because it was just meat to be. I saw the two girls and instantly the title came into my mind. The title is what spawned the image of the man in the water. It looks pretty much like I imagined it and the whole idea pieced itself together in about ten seconds.

A couple of things I'm not happy with, but I accidentally saved the image in flattened form and didn't have enough of a cache to go back and undo it, so fate pretty much decided for me that it was done.

I love preraphaelite art and this is my little tribute to it.

Yeah, my favorite thing about it is how confusing it is. You see it and think "ooo pretty flowers! Ooo pretty ladies! Ooo pretty!" and then your eyes drift down and you think "ooh jeez! There's a dead guy in the water!" and the whole thing suddenly becomes rather sinister. :stab:

Thank you! I do like it more the more I look at it. There's little more I would have done on it anyway. I kept thinking of the poem "La Belle Dame Sans Merci" while working on it.
